Merial, a world-leading animal healthcare provider, called upon Unbounded Solutions to help them implement an enterprise wide global Document and Compliance Management System based on EMC Documentum technologies. A major challenge for Merial was that their existing environment consisted of disparate systems with very little integration. Essentially, each department or division had a separate system managing their respective business processes. The obvious byproduct, for a global company like Merial, was increased costs and lack of consistencey in their business processes due to the employment of these overlapping systems.

Unbounded Solutions teamed up with Merial’s enterprise IT team to create a global Enterprise Content Management roadmap and delivery plan. Unbounded Solutions first created a tool to migrate all of the content from their existing eRoom-based document management implementation to a single comprehensive, centrally managed Documentum 6.5 based system. We then developed and presented Proof of Concept systems to effectively introduce Documentum to the different teams within Merial. Ultimately, this implementation yielded significant process improvements and cost savings throughout the entire company.
